Mike McAndrew
Mike is the owner of Three Saints Barber Shop & Shave Parlor located in Jessup, Pennsylvania. With 32 years of experience as a barber, Mike believes in immersing himself into the realm of “facial foliage” to provide the best cuts and shaves for his clients. He also serves as a member of the PA State Barber Board.
Brad Petrinec
Brad “El Taco” Petrinec, got his start in competitive bearding in Somervile, Massachusetts back in 2012, the following year he joined the Boston Beard Bureau and founded & organized the annual Whiskered Wonderland competition in Worcester, MA which lasted 4 years. During that time he moved back to his hometown of the greater Detroit area. In 2015 he founded Detroit’s annual Circus of Whiskers facial hair competition which is going on its 6th year, and he also got a few friends together and formed the Murder City Facial Hair Crew, where he still reins as President. Most recently, Taco served as one of the Vice Presidents of the Alliance – NACBMA from 2019-2021.
Stephen Casper
Humbled and honored to judge The National Championship. Was priveledged to compete for 6 years as Mr RED or General Burnside with more than my share of success having placed in all but 2 competitions. Highlights were placing at all National competitions, British National Championship and 3rd place at the World Championship in Austin Texas.
My Mr RED and General Burnside competition outfits will be auctioned during this National Championship.
Kristin Wagner
Originally from Pittsburgh, PA and currently residing in Cleveland, OH, Kristin “Wags” Wagner has been in the Whiskerina scene for over six years. She attended her first beard competition in 2013 and has been hooked on bearding ever since. Shortly after her first competition experience as a spectator, Kristin joined the Steel City Beard and Mustache Club which lead her down the path of competition in 2014. From 2014 until today, she has competed in over 20 competitions in both the creative and realistic categories. She is the former Treasurer/Secretary of Beards of the Old Northwest and also the former Vice President of the Steel City Beard and Mustache Club. Wags is currently proudly serving on the Bearded Hero board as Vice President.
Damian Biancarelli
Damian has owned Guy’s Barber Shop for 9 years. As a gentleman with a full beard, he considers himself devastatingly handsome making him an excellent qualifying judge…as well as his experience and ability to style hair. Damian is a favorite barber of the locals who visit his shop in downtown Scranton.
Alexa Peregrim
Alexa has worked in the hospitality industry for 22 years. She is currently the Sales Manager for the Lackawanna County Visitors Bureau. Although she has never judged a beard competition in the past, she judges her family and friends’ beards on a daily basis giving her a bit of experience with facial hair grooming and style.
We are happy and appreciative to have Alexa’s outside perspective on our panel of judges.
Jason Sealand
Jason Sealand is the owner of Mad Viking Beard Co and Brewtality Coffee Co. Jason is also an active member of the Pennsylvania Mad Viking Beard Club. When not in full beard & coffee mode and running day to day operations for Mad Viking and Brëwtality Coffee, Jason enjoys photography, playing guitar, listening to vinyl and graphic art. *Note, Jason can be bought with offerings of whiskey. Preferably Jameson. Jason also enjoys spending time with his two beautiful daughters and his wife Amanda.

Adam Causgrove
The venerable Dr. Adam Paul Causgrove is the Chief Executive of your American Mustache Institute and Creative Director of the world-renowned one-man flash mob troupe, SiNGULARiTY. Dr. Causgrove is an avid reader (of books), consummate professional of amateur recreation sports, and a proud advocate of the Sexually Dynamic Mustached American lifestyle. Additionally, Causgrove is a Senior Fellow of International Policy at the facial-hair thinktank, MustacheForward.
“Fkn” Guido
Member of the Austin Facial Hair Club, Owner of Mountain Man Oils, Recipient of the 2015 Beardsman of the Year award, 2018 received the Big Joe Johnson Award. Was awarded Beardsman Appreciation Award by Hampton Roads. I have received over eight presentation awards. I have competed in over a 100 contest. Have had the pleasure of judging in over a 2 dozen contests. I have won numerous trophies- too many to mention (over 60) in Full Beard Styled Moustache, Groomed Beard, Verde, and Freestyle.

Chad Roberts
Hi folks! I’m Chad Roberts, president of the RVA Beard League in Richmond, Virginia and am a proud member of Team Honest Amish. I also currently serve as a VP of both the North American Competitive Beard & Moustache Alliance (NACBMA) and the World Beard and Moustache Association (WBMA).
With plenty of experience on both sides of the judging table, I've been doing this fun, crazy thing since my first competition 10 years ago at the 2011 Beard Team USA Nationals, which also happened to be held in Pennsylvania. I love supporting charity beard clubs whenever and however I can, and stand by the modern bearding traditions of raising money for local non-profits, the inclusion of all who support facial hair, and enjoying a beer with friends old and new from all over.
